BA Human Services
Hello! I have been a Synergist in full time practice since 1998. Some of my most valued experiences as a Synergist have been the privilege of meeting the unique people who have sought healing, representing RSM as a practitioner at the University of Tennessee Integrative Health Center, integrating RSM into A&D treatment with patients in pain, and acting as Facilitator of a pilot study to integrate alternative methods into Worker's Comp processes.
I live in the mountains of East Tennessee and of course enjoy most outdoor activities.
I have a wonderful man and two fabulous grown children in my life as well cherished family and loved ones. It is my life's calling to be a part of the healing circle on this planet and do this mindfully and with much love.

Master of Social Work
My purpose is to teach safe touch and connection. I work with parents, infants, toddlers, preschoolers and teachers, supporting the value of simple presence to augment gentle and playful touch. These are the elements of connection. Working with adults who have lost touch with their connectedness to others and themselves, I know that providing listening touch and reflective dialogue can help them reconnect with themselves and others.

I find joy when I live from my heart and soul. I find my peace in the natural world. I am nourished by walking quietly on the Earth absorbing the sights and sounds of all Spirit beings. I love teaching people in my private practice of Rubenfeld Synergy and in my nonprofit, Horses As Mentors, Inc. You may check out: horsesasmentors.org.

Masters in Clinical Counseling, 1990, The Citadel Graduate College
With 40 years' background in yoga, movement, music, and somatic psychotherapy, I help people embody their full potential with wisdom, integrity, empathy, and experience. My office is an oasis, where you can explore how to come home to your authentic self.
I specialize in relationships: to yourself, partner, spouse, body, disease, pain, nature, and spirit.
Using a body-centered approach, through listening, and or a listening touch, I direct you back to your own body, which is the seat of your knowledge, spirit and answers. I send you home with tools to listen and communicate to your self and others.
I work with end of life issues, pain management, grief and loss, catastrophic illness, and life transitions, including LGBT issues.
As a two time cancer survivor, I know, first hand, the emotional issues that accompany a life threatening diagnosis and how they manifest in the body. I can help you prepare for surgery and accompany you through treatment and its aftermath.

"Touch that evokes trust and safety can create dialogues with the client's unconscious mind. In early infancy, the baby receives and understands the nonverbal language of touch long before it understands words. With an adult, the combination of touch and words represents the highest form of communication." Ilana Rubenfeld
