Erica Goodstone, Ph.D.

Erica Goodstone, Ph.D. was certified in the 4th Rubenfeld Synergy training in the 1980’s. As a Professor of Health and Physical Education at FIT/SUNY, she had been receiving treatments and studying many body therapy methods (including Polarity and Craniosacral Therapy, Massage Therapy, Shiatsu, Trager, and Alexander Technique) to alleviate her own aches and pains and injuries from living an athletic life. She found herself on a journey to discover the truth about life, love and the mind/body/spirit connection. Her studies included: The Kaballah, Christian Science, The Way International, Rosicrucians, Yoga, Meditation, EST, DMA, Actualizations, The Infinite Way, and many other teachings.

One week before her dissertation orals for her doctoral degree in Human Sexuality, Marriage and Family Living, she attended a workshop given by Ilana Rubenfeld at the Association for Humanistic Psychology. This work provided the missing link to what would become her life’s work: assisting clients to create intimacy in their lives, intimacy within their own mind, body and spirit and intimacy outwardly with others.

Licensed and nationally certified mental health counselor, marital therapist and massage and bodywork therapist, she is also certified as a diplomate for The American Academy of Pain Management, American Association for Integrative Medicine, and American Board of Sexology.
